Network Participants

Service Providers (SPs)

Service Providers in the AIGEN network are individuals, teams, organizations, or companies that deliver AI-related services—including blockchain-native models, middleware components, datasets, libraries, compute power, and storage resources. A Service Provider may focus on offering a single specialized service or provide comprehensive orchestration pipelines that span across multiple functionalities.

SPs have the flexibility to either host and serve their own AI models—for example, offering inference directly from a proprietary LLM—or to act as intermediaries for third-party APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or other external providers. Regardless of their specific role, SPs are responsible for operating a full AIGEN node, running the protocol software, and maintaining consistent uptime and service performance.

Most SPs operate on either a pay-as-you-go or subscription-based revenue model, with optional integration of on-chain token payments and NFT-based access rights.

Client Providers (CPs)

Client Providers are applications—whether traditional Web2 apps or Web3-native DApps—that act as gateways for end users to interact with AIGEN's AI ecosystem. By abstracting away the technical complexity of agent and API communication, CPs allow users to benefit from AI capabilities without having to manually invoke endpoints.

CPs play a vital role in expanding the reach and accessibility of AIGEN. They may choose to integrate account creation, session management, and payment processing into their platforms, providing a seamless user experience.

Some Client Providers may choose to offer AI access as a free feature to enhance their own platform’s value, while others may monetize it directly through service fees or subscription tiers.

To support the decentralization and reliability of the ecosystem, CPs may operate an AIGEN node themselves. Alternatively, they can interact with the protocol using the AIGEN SDK.

Users

Users of AIGEN span across individuals, DAOs, projects, and enterprises who utilize AI services offered via the network. In some cases, AI agents themselves act as users—requesting and consuming services in pursuit of a defined goal.

Depending on their level of technical expertise and requirements, users can interact with AIGEN in multiple ways:

  • Through user interfaces powered by Client Providers,

  • By directly running a Full Node or Light Node to access protocol features, or

  • Via enterprise integrations that securely obtain encrypted service access keys from Service Providers without managing a node themselves.

This modular approach allows users to select the optimal interaction model for their specific use case.

Trust Guardians

Trust Guardians are specialized node operators tasked with maintaining the operational integrity of the AIGEN network. They monitor node behavior, verify compliance with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensure that all SPs and CPs meet performance and reliability standards.

These Guardians collect telemetry data across the network—such as uptime, response time, and error rates—and contribute this information to a distributed reputation registry. This reputation system is transparently maintained across dedicated Guardian Nodes and made publicly accessible to any participant in the ecosystem.

By overseeing and securing AIGEN’s infrastructure, Trust Guardians uphold the trustless nature of the platform and create a verifiable standard for service quality.

Payment Providers

While AIGEN natively supports peer-to-peer payments, third-party providers may offer escrow and abstraction layers.

Enable seamless payments between users, CPs, and SPs. Provide additional security via escrow mechanisms. Operate full nodes.
